0.: Item 0a is the registration action type and is always required. The valid values are N, M, or D. N registers a new contact, M modifies an existing contact, and D deletes an existing contact. 1.: Item 0b is the type of authenticatin scheme. The valid values are MAIL-FROM, CRYPT-PW, or PGP. It should be left blank during the registration of a NEW Contact. 2.: Item 0c is the authorization information to be used to authenticate the guardian updating an existing contact. It is required if item 0b is CRYPT-PW. 3.: Item 1a is required for MODIFYs and DELETEs. It should be left blank during registration of a new contact. 4.: Item 1b is used to identify the Contact as an individual or an organizational role account. The valid values are I (individual) or R (role). Item 1b is required. 5.: Item 1c is required for NEWs, MODIFYs, and DELETEs. If the Contact is an individual user, the name should be entered as: LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME MIDDLENAME Item 1c is required for all contacts. 6.: Items 1e-1i are the postal address of the contact. Item 1e (Street Address) is always required. Items 1f-1h (City, State, and Postal Code) are required for only the US addresses. Item 1i (Country Code) is always required and must be an ISO-3166 country code. Item 1i may leave blank for only the US address during the registration of a NEW Contact and it is always required for MODIFYs or DELETEs even though it is for US address. It is required for NEW Contact. 8.: Item 1l is the e-mailbox of the contact. It is required for NEW Contact. The value should be a valid Internet email address with separate the username and hostname parts of the mailbox by an "@" symbol. 9.: Item 2a and 2b contain the notification information for a Contact. The valid values for item 2a can be BEFORE-UPDATE, AFTER-UPDATE, or NOT-CARE. The valid values for item 2b are BEFORE-USE, AFTER-USE, or NOT-CARE. 10.: Item 3a to 3c contain the authentication information for a Contact. These Items are required only if either the authenticatin information is being added to an existing Contact or a new Contact with authentication information is being registered. The valid values of item 3a are MAIL-FROM, CRYPT-PW, or PGP. The item 3b is required if item 3a is either CRYPT-PW or PGP. END OF FILE
